We The Parents
is a movement, not just a PAC.
We’re raising a new generation of courageous, principled state leaders who will protect the fundamental rights of parents, because no government should come between a parent and their child. From the classroom to the doctor’s office and in the home, it’s time to reclaim our God-given authority.
We don’t just talk. We act. Join us as we fund, recruit, and empower parent-first candidates.

WE THE PARENTS was founded by moms, dads, and community leaders who are done watching politicians ignore the voices of families.
We’ve watched lawmakers strip away parental rights behind closed doors. That ends now.
We are building a movement to elect bold leaders who will stand for truth and defend families.
Why We Exist
Parental rights are the bedrock of a free society, and in Colorado, that foundation is under attack. Lawmakers have empowered the state to override families, inject ideology into classrooms, and conceal life-altering decisions from parents.
What We’re Up Against
Each of these laws was passed — or protected — by legislators who believe the state knows better than you. These are just a few examples of how parental rights are being erased in Colorado:
1. Comprehensive Sexuality Without Parental Values
Bill: HB19-1032 Goes against a parent’s right to guide a child’s understanding of intimacy, relationships, and sexuality.
📌 Hands control of sex ed to activists
📌 Introduces gender ideology starting in 4th grade
📌 Cuts parents out of curriculum review
📌 Eliminates values-based teaching
2. Mental Health Services Without Parental Knowledge
Bills: HB21-1258, HB19-1120 - Removes the parent from vital conversations about their child’s well‑being, overriding parental authority and responsibility.
📌 Allows minors (12+) to access therapy without parental consent
📌 Parents aren’t notified or consulted
📌 Outsources decisions to state-funded NGOs
📌 Breaks trust between families and schools
3. Gender Identity: The State Decides, Not You
Bill: HB24-1039 - Replaces the parent–child bond with state-imposed ideology, overriding a parent’s role and right to protect their child.
📌 Schools affirm gender identity changes without telling parents
📌 Staff punished for using legal names
📌 Parents excluded from deeply personal decisions
4. Taxpayer-Funded Abortion & Transition Procedures
Bills: HB22-1279, SB23-189, SB25-183, HB25-1309, HB25-1312 - Removes a parent’s authority and uses their tax dollars to fund policies that undermine their deeply‑held values.
📌 Forces insurance to cover abortion and gender treatments
📌 Taxpayer-funded, despite personal or religious objections📌 Allows minors to access puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries
📌 No parental knowledge or consent required
📌 Removes conscience protections for families and businesses
5. No Private Spaces for Women or Girls
Bill: HB23-1057 - Strips away a parent’s right to ensure their children’s safety in public spaces.
📌 Mandates gender-neutral bathrooms in public buildings
📌 Eliminates women-only spaces
📌 Undermines privacy and safety for girls
What They Killed Instead
While passing laws that weaken the family, legislators blocked commonsense protections that parents overwhelmingly support:
❌ HB25-1073 – Keep Child Rapists Behind Bars
Would have ensured longer sentences for child rapists and stronger protections for victims. Killed in committee without serious consideration.
They refused to protect children from predators—yet claim to protect them from their own parents.
❌ Parental Bill of Rights: HCR25-1003 HRC23-1004
Would have allowed the people to have enshrined parental authority in the Colorado Constitution, ensuring the right to direct your child’s education, healthcare, and upbringing.
Both resolutions were killed in committee. Lawmakers refused to let voters decide.
Freedom is fueled by action. Help us light the path forward.
Every day, special interests pour money into campaigns that strip away parental rights and silence Parent voices. We the Parents, are building the firewall against this takeover—one candidate, one race, one district at a time.
